Project: Cause 25

Shoplifting statistics are alarming.  According to the National Association for Shoplifting Prevention, there are approximately 27 million shoplifters (or 1 in 11 people) in our nation today.  Of which, approximately 25% of all the people who get caught shoplifting are between the ages of 13 and 17.

There’s the notion that the sooner a teen is caught for shoplifting, the sooner the teen’s behavior can be corrected before it leads to a pathway to nowhere.  This old adage of commit a crime first, then we will help should be reevaluated.

Steal Breaker Group, LLC was founded on a simple premise: With every completed order, Steal Breaker Group, LLC will donate 25% of all profits to various charities educating children against the perils of shoplifting and supporting positive activities to nurture our impressionable 3rd through 6th graders.  By focusing on this young age group, our goal is to break the chain on teen shoplifting.

In addition, we ask all families and communities to help our children pass the TEST.  Talk with your children, Educate them on values/core beliefs, Support their endeavors, Time for quality.

Do your children pass the TEST?™

Why Stand Displays?

With the current economic conditions, most stores have indicated that they do not plan to invest heavily in high tech loss prevention devices at this time, but do plan to spend about the same amount on loss prevention signs that they have in the past.

What’s a better way to convey a message than through a visually appealing, portable, high impact stand display?

The idea for the stand displays came about while doing research online.  It was shown that England’s police force used stand displays with much success.  The images used proved to be very powerful deterrents at retail stores, bookstores, military commissaries, petrol stations, and hospitals.

Shoplifters generally fall into two categories:

●  Professional shoplifters.  These people usually take expensive items that they can resell easily.

●  Amateur or casual shoplifters.  Most shoplifters are in this category.  They don’t usually go into a store with the intention of stealing – they simply see the opportunity to take something and do.

Since most teens and adults fall into the “casual” shoplifter category, these stand displays are a powerful reminder for them to not shoplift.

We invite you to purchase, contribute, or join us in our social cause of educating our children that “Shoplifting is not cool!™”
